Chandler Michael Culotta is a fine art photographer from Southwest Florida. As an artist, his work has explored a multitude of genres. Chandler works to bring his visions and experiences to the viewer, pulling them into the way he sees the world around us.
Since childhood, Chandler has been enthralled by the natural beauty of the world, often spending his time in the outdoors hiking, camping, and exploring. As an artist, he has brought this same interest into his work. Through his use of the camera, Chandler documents the landscapes around him, examining the natural beauty of the world while also documenting the changes caused by an ever-growing and developing society. Through his work, Chandler speaks to the importance of conservation and to what makes our planet unlike any other.
Chandler has extensive experience in the world of photojournalism and commercial photography. He has worked with publications such as Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, QRO Magazine and the Florida Trident, photographing and writing on live concerts, music festivals, protests, and local news. He has worked closely with clients within studio and event settings, photographing global and national conferences, providing photographic material for bands and album covers, and product and advertising photography.
Chandler received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The University of Tampa and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography and Related Media from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Chandler currently teaches courses in photography and digital arts at St. Petersburg College in Clearwater, Florida. In his courses, he implores students to examine conceptual and contemporary artwork and designs to create their own artwork that examines thematic concepts and approaches to contemporary art.
